Today, we are proud to support hundreds of families across Nairobi, from Runda to Syokimau, helping their loved ones live healthier, safer and more fulfilling lives at home.

Our Ethos

Every home has its own rhythm. Our work is to protect it.

  1. Home comes first

We fit care around your routines, your faith, your food and your household, not the other way round.

  2. Dignity is non-negotiable

Privacy during personal care, choices respected, and independence protected for as long as possible.

  3. Families stay in the loop

Clear notes, regular check-ins and honest updates, including when something needs to change.

Leadership

A Message From Our Founder.

“I started Makao because I watched too many families hire in a hurry and hope for the best. Care at home should never be a gamble.”

Every family that calls us is carrying something: a parent coming home from hospital, a new baby, a diagnosis nobody was ready for. Our job is to lift some of that weight, with caregivers we have checked, trained and would trust in our own homes.

We will not always get everything right the first time. When we don’t, we will tell you, and we will fix it. That is the promise behind every placement with our name on it.
